How to Store Peptides Properly

Proper storage is critical for maintaining peptide potency. Research peptides are delicate molecules — heat, light, moisture, and microbial contamination can all degrade or destroy them. Here's how to store each form correctly.

The Three Enemies of Peptides

1. Heat

Heat accelerates peptide degradation through increased molecular vibration and hydrolysis. Lyophilized peptides are relatively heat-resistant but still degrade faster at room temperature than refrigerated. Reconstituted peptides are far more heat-sensitive — even brief exposure to room temperature can reduce potency. Rule: when in doubt, refrigerate.

2. Light

UV and visible light can cause photodegradation of peptide bonds and oxidation of certain amino acid residues (especially tryptophan and tyrosine). Store all peptides away from direct light — use amber vials or keep in a dark container/drawer.

3. Moisture

Lyophilized peptides are hygroscopic — they absorb water from the air, which can initiate degradation and microbial growth. Keep lyophilized vials sealed until reconstitution. If storing long-term, consider desiccant packets in the storage container.

Storage for the Ascension Stack

The Clavicular Ascension Stack contains three storage categories:

• 1 oil injectable (Testosterone Cypionate) — room temperature, cool and dry
