Most research peptides ship as lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder that must be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water (BAC water) before use. This guide covers the standard reconstitution process for research applications.

- Bacteriostatic water (BAC water, 0.9% benzyl alcohol preserved)

Common Mistakes
- Spraying water directly on powder — always inject down the vial wall
- Shaking the vial — denatures peptide structure; swirl gently instead
- Using sterile water instead of BAC water — sterile water lacks preservative and expires faster
- Room temperature storage — reconstituted peptides degrade rapidly outside 2–8°C
- Reusing syringes — contaminates the vial; use a fresh syringe each time
